South Asian Airlines is the only airlines available in Bangladesh to provide opportunity to charter private helicopters to any remote place of Bangladesh. It started her journey in 1999 using US made R-44 helicopter in the domestic routes and Cargo aircraft in the International routes. The Airlines is also operating private VIP flights for any place inside Bangladesh. The R-44 model is now replaced with R-44 II. Although cargo operation is suspended at the moment, but plan of resuming cargo operation in the international routes in the near future is under active consideration.  Mentionable that South Asian Airlines is also IATA member and its IATA designator code is A2 and 3 Numeric Airline Prefix Code is 196.
